The company Hydro-System, Jakub Barański has been operating continuously on the mobile sludge dewatering market since 1998. Before starting his own business, the company owner – Jakub Barański – worked for a well-known international producer of centrifuges. And this was how he became familiar with issues related to sludge dewatering technology.
The first Mobile Sludge Dewatering Station was put together in 1997-98, while the experience we gained in the years to follow led to its frequent reconstruction and modernisation. New systems were completed in 2001, 2004 and 2011, each providing better performance and efficiency.
All of these stations were designed and assembled by the company itself. The heart of each system is its horizontal centrifuge (decanter) from one of the world’s leading producers, while Hydro-System is responsible for all of the fittings, the polymer dosing stations and the process controls and automation.
Issues related to centrifuge control proved particularly challenging, but thanks to our experience and progress made in industrial automatics we succeeded in resolving the problem.
In 2013 the company bought its first new complete mobile station, produced by a very well-known equipment manufacturer. Hydro-System then immediately proceeded to reconstruct and modernise it to its own requirements. Quite simply, we are practitioners, we make heavy use of the equipment, and there are certain solutions we have that not everybody knows of.
To begin with our main client base comprised small communal waste treatment plants, when a single job would involve the dewatering of between a few hundred and a few thousand cubic metres of sludge. Over time, Hydro-System began taking on ever larger jobs. In 2012 our newest Mobile Station serviced the entire sludge management for the sewage treatment plant in Toruń during the plant’s modernisation. During the six months of construction work there, Hydro-System ensured continuous and failure-free operation of its Mobile Sludge Dewatering Station. A total of 111,138 m3 of sludge was dewatered in this operation.
Carrying out large jobs does not mean that small clients are ignored by Hydro-System. For example for several years now we have been rendering our services for the Communal Plant in Młodzieszyn, dewatering 700 m3 of sludge once a year.
Although our company’s main business comprises the dewatering of communal sludge, we have also dewatered sludge produced in ceramic metal production, water treatment plants, glassworks, the production of drinks, paper mills and other places. Each of our less typical clients required a different approach and different technology.
We welcome new challenges, as – despite the difficulties – every unusual client provides new knowledge.
